I love the striking shapes of the flowers and the shadows they cast in the studio as the low February light came streaming in through the window. I recently discovered that hellebores can symbolise both peace and serenity and also anxiety and delirium. Perhaps my composition with extreme light and dark shadows suits the dual nature of
