Constructed of silvered bronze alloy, on loop for suspension from its period original bow tie ribbon, consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a central raised RAD insignia in the form of mobile swastika between wheat stalks, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of FR TREUE DIENSTE IM REICHSARBEITSDIENST (FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE
