the clay of the brick red background and two sides are stippled with a stiff brush

Attributed to Sherwin Cotton the only other mark on the back is "ENGLAND"

Antique Hand Painted Tile of Strawberries, Framed Jugtown The molded design features palmettesThis antique tile was hand painted and displays strawberries and vining leaves. The tile measures 5" square. Unsigned, it is probably Dutch. Roughness around the edges is masked by a wooden gesso frame with a gold finish. Framed it measures 8 " square.
