Four stages with presentations running simultaneously. Around four thousand attendees. Two days of speakers, exhibition stands, and a new speed networking format that was very much part of the brief.

SBC Summit is a global series of events for the sports betting and gaming industry, and I’ve been lucky enough to be part of the photography team across a few legs of it now. Miami and Toronto, I was one of three. Lisbon, one of nine. The team scales with the event. The job stays the same.

The brief is always some version of the same thing: speakers, stands, sponsors, and everything in between. You show up, you cover it properly, you don’t get in the way.

Fort Lauderdale had a nice addition this year. The speed networking session was new, high energy, the kind of format where you’re constantly moving and have to think on your feet.

The event closed at Daer Dayclub at the Hard Rock Seminole in Hollywood with Oliver Heldens headlining to a very full room. Going from a conference floor to a nightclub in the same working day is one of those things that sounds strange until you’ve done it a few times.

I’ll be back with the team in Lisbon in September for the third year running, for what promises to be the biggest and best one yet!
